Operations Risk & Control Manager

Join our team as an Operations Risk & Control Manager and play a critical role in safeguarding company assets, strengthening governance, reducing operational losses, and driving a culture of accountability and operational excellence across our logistics network.
This role oversees Fraud & Investigations, Claims & Recovery Management, and Risk, Compliance & Loss Prevention functions. The successful candidate will lead risk mitigation initiatives, operational audits, investigations, loss prevention programs, and compliance efforts while partnering closely with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management & Governance- Develop and implement operational risk management frameworks, policies, and control programs
- Identify operational risks and vulnerabilities and drive effective mitigation strategies
- Establish risk monitoring systems, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Provide risk assessments, recommendations, and strategic insights to senior leadership
- Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Lead investigations involving fraud, theft, misconduct, operational losses, and other integrity-related concerns
- Oversee case management processes and ensure timely, objective, and thorough investigations
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Operations teams on case resolution and disciplinary actions
- Analyze fraud trends and implement proactive prevention initiatives
- Oversee claims validation, liability assessments, recovery monitoring, and loss prevention programs
- Drive initiatives to reduce parcel losses, operational shrinkage, and financial exposure
- Monitor recovery performance and implement controls to improve operational accountability
- Lead root cause analyses and corrective action programs for significant incidents and recurring issues
- Lead operational audits and compliance reviews across hubs and logistics facilities
- Assess adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational controls
- Strengthen governance frameworks and implement preventive control measures
- Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk
- Lead, coach, and develop risk, compliance, investigations, and loss prevention teams
- Establish departmental goals, performance standards, and development plans
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Customer Service teams to strengthen organizational controls
- Present risk findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management and executive leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Criminology, Industrial Engineering, Accountancy, Legal Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Master's Degree or professional certifications in Risk Management, Fraud Examination, Internal Audit, Compliance, Security Management, or related disciplines are an advantage
- Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive experience in logistics operations, risk management, fraud investigations, compliance, audit, security, loss prevention, or related functions
- At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience leading teams and driving operational performance
- Proven experience managing investigations, claims management, compliance programs, operational risk initiatives, or loss prevention activities
- Strong background in e-commerce, last-mile logistics, courier operations, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of operational risk management, internal controls, compliance frameworks, governance practices, and fraud prevention methodologies
- Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to identify risks and implement effective control measures
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, report-writing, and presentation skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and other key stakeholders
- Lead a critical function that directly impacts business performance and operational excellence
