General Accounting and Tax Compliance

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Prepare and Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities;
• Prepare and process journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed;
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules;
• Checking of cost accuracy per book;
• Assist on financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.

• Prepare, process, and maintain documentation related to the complete accounting cycle, including the accurate and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT/GST, withholding tax, corporate income tax).
• Ensure tax reporting complies with current local laws and regulations; monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on company operations.
• Supervise and coordinate tax audits with taxation authorities, external auditors, and legal counsel as necessary.
• Maintain organized and accurate tax records and documentation to support audits and compliance requirements.
• Conduct monthly reconciliation and clean-up of BIR payments and ensure proper recording in the books.
• Communicate effectively, both written and oral, with vendors and regulatory agencies on tax-related matters.
• Respond to tax correspondence and conduct research on emerging issues as needed.
• Perform other tasks or special assignments as directed by the Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Accounting Graduate
• With at least 6 months of experience in the accounting field.
• Basic knowledge in tax filing procedures.
• With analytical skills and a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
