About the Role
We are seeking a talented Librarian to join our team at our Bacolod campus. As our Librarian, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our library resources, ensuring students and faculty have access to the information and materials they need to succeed.This is a full-time position that will allow you to contribute to the academic excellence of our institution.
What You'll Be Doing- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the college library, including cataloging, shelving, and maintaining library collections
- Assist students and faculty in locating and accessing relevant resources, providing research guidance and support
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient management of the library
- Collaborate with faculty to identify and acquire resources that support the college's curriculum and research needs
- Maintain the library's digital resources, such as online databases and e-books, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible
- Plan and execute library-related events and programming to promote resource usage and information literacy
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Registered Librarian
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a library or information management role, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of library systems, cataloging, and resource management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively assist students and faculty
- Proficient in using library-related software, databases, and digital resources
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities
- Commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in library management
