Key Responsibilities and Duties
Compliance and Policy:
Develop and implement health and safety policies and programs that align with the Philippine OSH standards and other relevant laws, such as Republic Act 11058.
Risk Assessment:
Conduct regular Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) to identify potential dangers in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Inspections and Audits:
Perform regular monitoring and inspections of the workplace and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
Training:
Provide training to employees on safe work practices, the proper use of equipment, and emergency procedures.
Incident Investigation:
Investigate workplace accidents and injuries, document findings, and make recommendations for improvement.
Reporting:
Assist government inspectors with OSH inspections and provide necessary information and reports to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Emergency Preparedness:
Ensure that emergency response procedures are in place and conduct regular emergency response drills.
Promote Safety Culture:
Foster a proactive safety culture by engaging employees, sharing best practices, and promoting safety initiatives.
Key Skills and Qualifications
DOLE Accreditation:
