Safety Officer 3

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, monitor, and review the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) program.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analysis.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with national and local safety laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., DOLE, OSHA).
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and update safety documentation including permits, inspection checklists, and incident logs.
• Participate in the development of emergency response and disaster preparedness plans.
• Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
• Supervise and mentor Safety Officer I and II personnel.
• Recommend improvements to safety policies and procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
• Must be accredited as Safety Officer III by DOLE.
• Completion of 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) or Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) training.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a safety-related role.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (local and international).
• Certification in First Aid, Firefighting, or Emergency Response is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in incident reporting and safety software tools.

Work Environment:

• Can work in construction sites, industrial plants, warehouses, or office environments depending on the industry.
• May require working in hazardous or outdoor environments.
• Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
