Housekeeping Team Leader (Production Facility)

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Facilities Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Lead the housekeeping team in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized production facility by ensuring all assigned areas meet company hygiene, housekeeping, and safety standards to support efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities.
• Assign and monitor housekeeping tasks.
• Inspect production and common areas for cleanliness.
• Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation standards.
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and consumables.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
• Train and guide housekeeping team members.
• Respond to cleaning requests and spill cleanup.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and equipment defects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and PPE policies.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and special cleaning activities.
• Maintain housekeeping records and reports.
• Perform other assigned housekeeping duties.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• At least 2–3 years of housekeeping, janitorial, or utility experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment, with at least 1 year in a team leader or supervisory role preferred.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, safety procedures, and team supervision is an advantage.
