Landscape Architect

Job Summary:

The Landscape Architect is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the development of outdoor spaces such as parks, gardens, campuses, residential developments, commercial centers, and infrastructure projects. This role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and environmental scientists to integrate sustainable and aesthetic solutions into landscape projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare conceptual and detailed landscape designs and master plans.
• Develop site analysis, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
• Create construction drawings, planting plans, and irrigation layouts.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, environmental consultants, and clients.
• Select appropriate materials, plants, and construction techniques.
• Ensure design compliance with zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare presentations and reports for client approval and public hearings.
• Monitor project progress during construction to ensure adherence to design intent.
• Research new trends and techniques in sustainable landscape architecture.
• Provide cost estimates, budgeting support, and bid documentation for landscape works.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Professional license is an advantage (RLA or equivalent).
• 2+ years of experience in landscape architecture or site planning.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, GIS, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of plant materials, hardscape elements, grading, and drainage.
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
