Network Configuration Engineer (NCE)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Network Configuration Engineer (NCE) to join our deployment team. In this role, you will be the bridge between architectural vision and operational reality. You will take High-Level and Low-Level network designs (HLDs/LLDs) and translate them into flawlessly executed, production-ready configurations.

• Bring Designs to Life: Review, interpret, and accurately implement complex High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level Network Designs (LLD).
• Hands-on Configuration: Build, configure, and deploy network infrastructure across a diverse, multi-vendor ecosystem (Fortinet, Meraki, Nokia Alcatel).
• Advanced Routing & Connectivity: Establish robust routing architectures utilizing BGP, custom route maps, and secure IPsec VPN tunnels.
• Circuit & WAN Management: Provision and support a wide array of WAN services, including MPLS, Direct Internet Access (DIA), Broadband, Wireless WAN, and Ethernet circuits.
• Cloud Integration: Integrate physical networks with cloud environments using cloud firewalls and cloud routers.
• Validation & Quality Assurance: Rigorously validate configurations pre- and post-deployment, ensuring everything aligns perfectly with customer specifications and strict operational standards.
• Troubleshoot & Coordinate: Solve complex technical issues that arise during deployment and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth maintenance windows and go-live events.

• Vendor Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience configuring and supporting Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, FortiAP), Cisco Meraki, and Nokia Alcatel routers.
• Core Networking Mastery: Strong foundational knowledge of network configuration, IPsec tunnels, BGP, core routing protocols, and route map manipulation.
• Cloud Literacy: Familiarity with modern cloud networking technologies, cloud firewalls, and virtual cloud routers.
• WAN Experience: Solid understanding of provisioning and troubleshooting diverse transport media (MPLS, DIA, Broadband, 4G/5G Wireless WAN).
• Design Literacy: The proven ability to read architectural network topology diagrams and technical specifications, converting them into precise device configurations.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding problem-solving abilities, an eagle eye for detail, and the communication skills necessary to coordinate effectively with project managers, clients, and on-site technicians during deployments.
