Our client, a global technology-enabled organization, is seeking an experienced Application Engineer โ Workday Compensation & Benefits to support the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and operational management of Workday solutions.
This role focuses on Workday Compensation and Benefits modules while supporting integrations, security, reporting, and enterprise application optimization. The successful candidate will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions, maintain system stability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise HR platforms.

The Application Engineer will provide subject matter expertise in Workday Compensation and Benefits modules, while also supporting related areas such as Payroll, Integration, Security, and Data Conversion. The role is responsible for supporting the software development lifecycle, including application deployment, configuration, customization, troubleshooting, and enhancement activities.
The position involves configuring and integrating enterprise applications with internal systems and supporting code updates, debugging, and minor system enhancements to improve application performance and functionality. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating business needs into effective and scalable technical solutions.
The role also includes participation in Agile and DevOps delivery environments, supporting incident management, monitoring interfaces and data loads, administering security access, and identifying opportunities for process and system improvements.Strong collaboration with development teams and proactive communication during both project delivery and production support activities are essential.
In addition, the Application Engineer will develop and maintain technical documentation, support operational stability, and ensure compliance with enterprise application governance and software standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Workday Compensation and Benefits solutions and strong familiarity with Workday technologies such as advanced reporting, integrations, enterprise interface tools, web services, and data conversion processes.
Experience supporting one or more Workday modulesโincluding Core HCM, Payroll, Talent Management, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Integration, Security, or Data Conversionโis highly valued.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of software engineering principles and experience supporting enterprise applications within Agile delivery environments such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
Familiarity with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery or similar workflow and case management platforms is advantageous.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities are essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The role requires a self-driven and adaptable individual who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain composure in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
Experience or exposure to technologies such as SQL, Java, Python, C#, Angular, Node.js, Azure, REST/SOAP services, or related web technologies is considered an advantage. Knowledge of scripting, workflow automation, and low-code development platforms is also beneficial.
