Job Duties/Responsibilities

The Finance Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of effective Finance procedures to support the proper execution of business transactions.

Job Specifications

SUPERVISION
  • Manages the department staff through proper workload identification and distribution, coaching, and regular conduct of personnel performance evaluation to ensure efficient and effective department process performance.
PAYROLL
  • Oversees the maintenance of pertinent employee data to ensure proper payroll and statutory computation, reporting and remittance.
  • Reviews the validity, accuracy and completeness of timekeeping and payroll computations to provide the appropriate salary due to the employees and avoid financial losses on miscalculations.

-Monitors the payroll cut-off period and the timely submission of timekeeping reports to ensure timely release of payroll.

CASH
  • Oversees the execution of disbursements and collections of the Company in accordance with Company policies, BIR requirements, and local rules and regulations to ensure that payments and collections are processed timely, accurately and properly.
  • Processes revolving fund replenishments and employee cash advance and liquidations to verify proper utilization of the fund.
-Performs daily audit of revenue and checks daily cashier's report to verify the accuracy, reliability and completeness of front-office accounting.
  • Monitors the cash flows and asset liquidity of the Company to ensure that risks and rewards of cash activities and fiscal actions are properly identified and addressed.
FINANCIAL REPORTING
  • Maintains subsidiary ledgers, conducts periodic reconciliation, performs monthly closing process, and analyses financial information to enable generation of periodic financial reports.
  • Prepares, consolidates and submits monthly financial reports (including but not limited to budget vs actual, Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements) to provide Management with the status and results of operations and explain significant variances for a given period.
  • Prepares tax and regulatory reports in accordance with the deadlines and with the latest rules and regulations to comply with all the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the Company.
ACCOUNTING AND TAX
  • Stays updated with current developments and changes in accounting and tax standards, technology and regulations to ensure compliance and adapt necessary changes in the Company.
  • Recommends, implements, and reviews Finance procedures and controls to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, reduce the risk of asset or data loss and ensure that department processes are conducted in accordance with the operational, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews journal entries and supporting documents in accordance with the Company’s policies and regulatory requirements to ensure that all transactions are valid, authorized, properly supported and properly recorded.
OTHERS
  • Coordinates with the Customers, Vendors, concerned Department Heads, and other Business Partners for the efficient resolution of concerns and for the proper execution of the Finance processes.
  • Creates a systematic filing system and ensures that records are restricted, complete and stored properly to facilitate easy access to reference, comply with company and legal requirements, and avoid financial or data loss.

-Maintains a high-level of Accounting software know-how and trains staff on the proper utilization of the relevant software to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes.

-Performs ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to provide support to the department and the Company.

Qualifications
  1. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  2. Must be a Certified Public Accountant
  3. With at least 3 years of work-related experience in the Hospitality Industry
  4. With at least 3 years of relevant experience as a manager
  5. Good oral and written communication skills
  6. Knowledgeable in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Word
  7. Team player who collaborates with peers to solve concerns
  8. Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity
  9. Must possess leadership skills
  10. Must be keen to details and have strong analytical skills
  11. Must possess good judgment and decision-making skills
