HR OFFICER - TRAINING

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY

The HR Officer – Training is responsible for planning, delivering, coordinating, and monitoring the organization’s learning and development initiatives. The role focuses on conducting basic behavioral and soft-skills trainings, as well as coordinating technical and functional training programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external training partners.

This position ensures that employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors to support individual growth, team effectiveness, and overall organizational objectives.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning
  • Assist in developing annual and quarterly training plans based on organizational needs.
  • Support training needs analysis (TNA) by coordinating with HR and department heads to identify competency and skills gaps.
Training Design & Delivery
  • Conduct basic behavioral and soft-skills training programs such as communication, teamwork, workplace professionalism, customer service, leadership fundamentals, and company values.
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, handouts, and evaluation tools aligned with training objectives.
  • Facilitate engaging learning sessions using appropriate training methods and techniques.
Technical Training Coordination
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of technical and job-specific training programs across departments.
  • Liaise with internal subject matter experts (SMEs), department trainers, and external training providers.
  • Coordinate training schedules, venues, logistics, materials, and participant invitations.
  • Monitor training implementation to ensure sessions are conducted as scheduled and meet quality standards.
  • Ensure alignment of technical training programs with operational and performance requirements.
Training Administration, Evaluation & Monitoring
  • Maintain complete and accurate training records, including attendance sheets, training calendars, and participant profiles.
  • Prepare post-training reports, summaries, and documentation for management review.
  • Collect participant feedback and assist in evaluating training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and observations.
  • Track employee training compliance and completion, especially for mandatory or company-required programs.
  • Organize and maintain training files (both physical and digital) for audit and reference purposes.
Onboarding and Employee Engagement
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation training sessions for new hires in collaboration with HR and department representatives
  • Support initiatives related to employee learning, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage employee participation in training and development activities.
  • Assist in reinforcing company culture, values, and expected workplace behaviors through training interventions.
Others
  • Contributes to develop programs geared towards organizational improvement
  • Upholds the KYOCERA Philosophy and participates in various KYOCERA Philosophy permeation activities
  • Supports and observes company practices concerning quality management system and helps comply with ISO standards
  • Participates in company-wide activities that help promote organizational improvement and high level of employee engagement such as 5S campaigns, safety and health programs, club and employee-wellness activities

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience
  • University Graduate of Bachelor degree, major is Psychology, Human Resource Management or related courses; preferably with good scholastic records
  • Preferably with at least 1-3 years relevant work experience in training functions in the software industry
Skills and Behavioral Attributes
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Good organizational, coordination, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Data‑driven in tracking training completion, feedback, and effectiveness to generate actionable insights.
  • Resilient in dealing with the ups and downs of training, and adaptable and reliable to address training challenges
  • Ability to establish healthy and positive work relations with all levels in the organization
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable using digital tools such as LMS, virtual platforms, and online surveys.
  • Strong learning mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and skills development.
