Logistics Manager

Oversee the logistics operations of the company and ensure the efficient, timely, and cost‑effective transfer of commodities (copra, edible oils, copra pellets) from one business location to another.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate inter-island transfers of commodities between business locations, ensuring safe handling and full compliance with transport, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Manage the coordination of oil transfers sourced from third-party suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery, proper documentation, and adherence with the contract requirements.
• Oversee the movement of copra stocks from buying stations to processing plants, ensuring timely delivery to support uninterrupted production operations.
• Monitor vessel movements, availability, and loading schedules to optimize utilization, minimize delays, and reduce demurrage and logistics costs.
• Ensure all commodities are properly insured during the procurement, storage, handling, and transportation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the sourcing and coordination of local vessels requirements to support efficient inter-island cargo movements.
• Oversee port operations at plant locations, ensuring efficient and accurate weighbridges, conveyors, and other logistics equipment to maintain smooth shipment flow.
• Monitor product stock levels, production projections, cargo readiness, and overall availability to meet delivery and sales commitments.
• Coordinate closely with purchasing, production, buying stations and trading teams to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics alignment and execution.
• Prepare and submit accurate month-end reports covering transactions, inventory levels, and sales and purchase commitments to the Risk Management Team at the Singapore office.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as freight costs, vessel turnaround time, inventory variances, shortages and overall logistics cycle time; recommend and implement process improvements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory and safety standards across all logistics activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
• Proven experience in logistics operations, preferably handling bulk commodities
• Strong background in shipment planning, scheduling, and inter-island transport coordination
• Knowledge of vessel operations, port logistics, and cargo handling processes
• Ability to monitor and optimize logistics KPIs (freight costs, turnaround time, inventory, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in inventory monitoring, production alignment, and demand planning
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
• Familiarity with regulatory, safety, and insurance requirements in logistics
• Excellent coordination and communication skills across multiple teams
