About the role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Supervisor for Machine Shop Maintenance and Fabrication to join our dynamic team at Q.C. Styropackaging Corporation / Multiplast Corporation in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our manufacturing facilities.
What you'll be doing- Assist the Supervisor in overseeing the maintenance and fabrication activities within the machine shop
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime
- Supervise a team of skilled technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory and equipment performance
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in machine shop operations, maintenance and fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and maintenance manuals
- Proficient in using computerised maintenance management systems and other relevant software
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage a team of technicians
