Tax Associate

Responsibilities
- Preparation, review, and timely filing and payment of all statutory tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, final withholding VAT, expanded withholding tax, 1606, final withholding tax, DST, etc.).
- Ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Supporting tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency and minimize exposure.
- Reconciling tax accounts and coordinating with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate tax data.
- Assessing tax audits, assessments, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Maintaining proper tax documentation, schedules, and audit trails.
- Other tasks related to tax that maybe assigned by the immediate supervisor
- Open for fresh graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (must be willing to be trained)
- 1–2 years’ relevant experience in tax compliance, accounting, or a similar role is an advantage.
- Practical experience handling statutory filings.
- Prior experience dealing with tax audits and tax authorities.
- Experience in accounting firms or in-house tax departments will be an added advantage.
- Must be amenable working full time on site in Cebu City
