Application Engineering Head

In this role, you will ensure accurate technical solutions, seamless collaboration with Sales, and high-quality proposals that support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor the Application Engineering team to deliver high-quality technical support.
• Supervise daily activities, set clear performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations to support professional development.
• Promote a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and service orientation.

• Oversee the review of customer specifications, equipment sizing, and selection to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
• Approve final technical proposals, drawings, and documentation prior to submission or sales order processing.
• Ensure all proposals meet company standards, customer expectations, and industry regulations.

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex applications, critical proposals, and project challenges.
• Support pre-sales activities including advanced technical presentations, product briefings, and site visits as required.
• Provide expert guidance during tenders, technical clarifications, and client discussions.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and external vendors to ensure accurate technical data, pricing, and lead times.
• Align application engineering strategies with overall sales and operational objectives.

• Oversee the review and validation of sales orders to ensure technical and commercial accuracy before release to Operations or Procurement.
• Establish strong approval checkpoints to minimize errors, rework, and delays.

• Develop and implement standardized processes for proposal preparation, order validation, and documentation control.
• Recommend and support the use of tools, templates, and systems to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time.

• Monitor team workload, productivity, and proposal timelines to ensure timely responses to sales support requests.
• Track performance metrics and ensure a consistently high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.

• Contribute technical insights to product development, market analysis, and innovation initiatives.
• Continuously improve engineering solutions to support company growth and competitiveness.

• Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
• 5–10 years of experience in application engineering, technical support, or project engineering roles.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a technical team.
• Strong background in equipment sizing, technical proposal preparation, and presentations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Demonstrates professionalism and maintains a high level of confidentiality.
