Joinery and Furniture Draftsman (Remote - Based in the Philippines - Full-time)

About the Role:
GETC is seeking a detail-oriented Joinery and Furniture Draftsman based in the Philippines to join our dynamic remote team. This role is offered under an independent contractor agreement, however, it requires a full-time commitment equivalent to standard full-time working hours.
In this critical role, you'll ensure technical drawings meet GETC and Australian standards, manage project variations and revisions, and maintain precision in all shop drawings. You'll collaborate closely with clients, factories, and internal project teams to deliver efficient and accurate solutions that meet contract specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Drawings: Complete and finalize drawings in compliance with GETC and Australian standards.
- Variations & Revisions: Track and document project changes to maintain up-to-date records and drawings.
- RFIs: Prepare, issue, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely responses.
- Data Sheet Integration: Interpret data sheets and integrate specifications into technical designs.
- Architectural Coordination: Manage receipt and application of architectural drawings and client updates.
- Hardware Coordination: Source and coordinate appropriate hardware with factories for inclusion in shop drawings.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure all drawings reflect only the items and specifications included in the signed contract.
- BOQ Management: Monitor and update the original Bill of Quantities (BOQ), ensuring traceability of material changes and substitutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be currently residing in the Philippines.
- Proven experience in engineering drafting, ideally within construction, joinery, or manufacturing industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar).
- Strong understanding of GETC and Australian engineering and drafting standards.
- Experience with BOQ management and contract documentation.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project revisions simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, internal teams, and factories.
- Ability to accurately interpret architectural and technical drawings.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in furniture, joinery, or construction drafting.
- Knowledge and experience in glass windows and glazing systems.
- Experience managing RFIs and documenting variations.
- Familiarity with joinery and glass manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- High level of conversational and written English is essential.
