Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in the Philippines, who will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, handling a full set of accounts, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting company business growth.

This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable process, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and preparation of balance sheets and profit and loss statement schedules.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing, including financial reporting and tax filings. Documenting financial transaction details and monitoring the transactions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial group reporting pack submission and provide financial analysis, budget variance reporting, and management insights. Preparing and filing financial documents
  • Processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Handle and ensure accurate filing and payment of all corporate tax obligations, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Expanded and Final Withholding Tax, Income Tax, and other Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)-mandated reports. Assisting with tax payments and returns doing filling.
  • Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
  • Assist in annual audit with the external auditors and ensure local statutory audits are completed on time. Fact-checking accounting data
  • Coordinate and liaise with other external parties like tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement finance operational efficiencies.
  • Assist in the implementation of new financial processes, systems, and policies as required.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Education:

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
  • CPA is an Advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
  • Familiarity with local financial regulations and compliance requirements, including BIR, SSS, PHIC, and HDMF.
  • High attention to detail with excellent accuracy standards.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment.

Other Information:

  • Immediate availability or ability to start within a short notice period is preferred.
  • Office-based role Monday to Saturday, with remote work flexibility on Saturday
