Accounting Associate (Project-based)

About the Role

We are looking for an Accounting Associate (Project-Based) to support the accurate, complete, and timely computation and administration of compensation and benefits for financial advisors, leaders, general agencies, and other distribution partners.

The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. The successful candidate will help ensure that compensation and benefits are processed accurately, inquiries are addressed promptly, and operational requirements are met efficiently.

1. Compensation and Benefits Administration

• Process and review commissions, allowances, and incentives of financial advisors, leaders, general agencies, and other distribution partners.
• Ensure accurate, correct, and timely computation of compensation and benefits in accordance with approved programs.
• Handle inquiries and requests related to compensation and benefits.
• Prepare ad hoc reports to support decision-making.
• Regularly review manual adjustments and validate the accuracy of compensation and benefits computations.
• Monitor and report exceptions, production issues, and other concerns, ensuring these are resolved within acceptable turnaround times.
• Assist in the issuance of clearances for inactive agents.

1. Project Participation

• Actively participate in projects involving new or revised agency compensation, benefits, payouts, products, and related initiatives.
• Perform testing of scenarios and cases to help ensure effective and efficient implementation of proposed changes.

• Undertake other tasks as may be required in support of company operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a business-related course.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or audit work.
• Experience in insurance, banking, or distribution companies is an advantage.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), audit certifications, or graduate studies are an advantage.
• Willing to work in Alabang.
• Willing to work under a project-based employment arrangement.

• Knowledge of compensation and benefit programs of life insurance or distribution companies.
• Knowledge of accounting, accounting standards, and withholding tax.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent people management and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with teams from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
