About the role
Atlantica Fire Safety Systems, Inc is seeking a talented and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This is a key position within our organisation, where you will play a vital role in the design, development and optimisation of fire safety systems and mechanical components.As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute directly to the creation of innovative solutions that protect lives and assets, making a meaningful impact on the safety industry whilst supporting our company's growth and technical excellence.
Key responsibilities- Generate flow calculations for fire suppression systems, hydraulic calculations for the automatic sprinkler system, and other types of calculations;
- Generating drawings and layout designs;
- Generate of Bill of Materials;
- Documentations and compliance to all activities and assigned projects to DPES;
- AUTOCADD utilization for designing plans and layouts.
- Attending kick-off meetings, weekly progress meetings, and other required meetings related to projects;
- Generating submittals of technical specification for approval of clients to installations and services;
- Execution of projects and services;
- Generating & execution of schedule of installation, delivery, and services;
- Officer-in-charge for execution of punch listing, close-out documents, and turn-over.
- Officer-in-charge for any matters related to warehouse management;
- Officer-in-charge for testing facilities, tools, and equipment management;
- Officer-in-charge for created, formulated, and recommended engineering method or plans that will be used in installation and services;
- Planning, compliance, and completion of documents, activities, testing, or any related task to projects.
- Other ad hocs and deliverables instructed by the Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably within the fire safety, HVAC, pumping systems or related industries
- Specific experience in fire safety, HVAC, or pumping systems industries is an advantage
- Strong proficiency with CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent) and experience with engineering analysis tools
- Solid understanding of mechanical principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and structural analysis
- Familiarity with fire safety standards, building codes and regulatory requirements (such as NFPA, ISO or local Philippine standards)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex engineering challenges systematically
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate technical documentation
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent certification is advantageous
- Experience in project management and coordination would be beneficial
