Process Engineer - Supervisory (w/ experience in Feed or Flour Milling Industry)

About the role

This full-time position offers the opportunity to utilise your technical expertise and process engineering knowledge to drive continuous improvement and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality animal feed products.

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the feed manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with established safety, quality, and efficiency standards
• Analyse production data and identify opportunities for process optimisation, implementing changes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance overall plant performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all feed manufacturing processes, ensuring they are consistently followed by the production team
• Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel, upskilling team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the feed processing sector, incorporating best practices into the company's operations
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance programmes, ensuring the company's feed products meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on process engineering
• 5+ years of experience in a process engineering role, preferably within the animal feed or food processing industry
• Demonstrated expertise in process optimization, plant operations, and project management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in the use of process control systems, quality management tools, and data analysis software
• Thorough understanding of relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality management principles
