  • Prepare client financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
  • Maintain & review General Ledger, AP, AR
  • Prepare client month-end close for enterprise clients
  • Review month‑end financials prepared by team members to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of accounting requirements for medical and healthcare clients, including revenue recognition, patient and insurance receivables, compliance considerations, and industry‑specific reporting needs
  • Apply U.S. accounting standards in managing client financial records, including revenue recognition, lease accounting (right‑of‑use assets), intercompany transactions, and MACRS depreciation, to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
  • Willing to provide hands‑on support when needed, including assisting with the preparation of financial statements, recording bills, processing bank transactions, and supporting day‑to‑day accounting activities to meet client deadlines and support the team
  • Communicate and build relationships with clients
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team of direct reports
  • Manage system approvals for required business applications
  • Participate in onboarding/offboarding of team members (interviewing, hiring, selection, replacement requests, etc.)
  • Delegate tasks to team members and ensure client assignments are appropriately distributed and balanced across the team
  • Conduct monthly internal training for the team (soft/technical skills)
  • Conduct performance evaluations at set frequencies and deliver feedback regularly to ensure the success of the team members
  • Participate in meetings (attending and facilitating) with managers, peers, and others
  • Review existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Create new processes to streamline tasks and maximize team member efficiency
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Solid experience with Bill.com, Xero and QBO is required. Experience in NetSuite is an advantage
  • Experience working with medical or healthcare clients, with knowledge of industry‑specific accounting practices and compliance requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, right‑of‑use (ROU) assets and lease accounting, intercompany accounting, and MACRS depreciation
  • Strong accounting skills: the ideal candidate will have a BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of US Accounting Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple clients
  • Must be an independent, resourceful, self-starter; and also a team player
  • Strong analytical skills - see the big picture, how things relate and affect one another, within the client's books, as well as business
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work, in a remote team organization
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task
  • Pro-active attitude; highly self-motivated and able to work without constant oversight
  • High degree of emotional maturity; ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities efficiently and effectively
