Wind Turbine Operations

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct technical experience, knowledge, mentoring, support and training to the Wind Technology Operations team, the Plant Performance team and any other teams within the organization;
• Deliver a program of Asset Integrity Inspections on all turbine assets, once a year, to ensure assets are being maintained in accordance with industry best practice, on ACEN assets in the Philippines and internationally, where required;
• Formulate strategies for optimizing turbine maintenance and operations on ACEN owned wind farms in the Philippines;
• Assist in the prioritization of the annual wind turbine maintenance plan on ACEN owned wind farms in the Philippines;
• Assist in the identification and preparation of reactive and proactive maintenance action items, to improve the operation of ACEN owned wind farms in the Philippines;
• Develop and review Safety Plans, Method Statements, Work Instructions and Risk Assessments for routine and non-routine tasks completed on the company’s wind assets;
• Monitor and supervise non-routine tasks being completed by OEM’s in support of the HSS team and Wind Technology Operations;
• Investigate, troubleshoot and manage issues, as identified by Plant Performance and Performance Engineering, to successful resolution;
• Support the development of a Technician Competency Framework for the training and development of Wind Turbine Technicians;
• Training, development and auditing Technicians against the Technician Competency Framework and support the drafting of Technician development plans;
• Deliver and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on major component failures;
• Other technical based activities, as requested from time to time
