Job description:
As Accounting Associate your responsibility is to support our accounting department. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the company’s general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries for daily and monthly transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Analyze discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of accounting or finance experience preferred .
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
