An Accounting Clerk in a hotel is responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with the hotel's accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or hotel operations is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Processed and recorded daily financial transactions with accuracy.
  2. Prepared invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other accounting documents.
  3. Monitored accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  4. Assisted in bank reconciliations and monthly financial reporting.
  5. Maintained organized financial records and filing systems.
  6. Coordinated with different departments regarding billing and payment concerns.
  7. Ensured compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
