Quantity Surveyor

Location: Quezon City, Philippines

The role involves working closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine the most cost-effective solutions.

Tendering:

• Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities.
• Evaluate and analyze tenders received from contractors.

Contract Negotiation:

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that contract terms and conditions are favorable and align with project requirements.

Cost Monitoring and Control:

• Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase.
• Track and report on variations and changes to the project scope.

Value Engineering:

• Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

Risk Management:

• Assess and manage risks related to project costs.
• Develop strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns.

Budgeting:

• Assist in the development of project budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide regular updates on budget performance.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all cost-related aspects of the project.
• Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders.

Client Liaison:

• Communicate effectively with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Address client inquiries and concerns related to project costs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and tools.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
