JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Project Revenue & Expenditure Management
- Record and monitor all project-level income and expenses on a daily basis.
- Maintain a complete and accurate project ledger covering all financial transactions.
- Verify and process payment requests, purchase orders, and supplier invoices.
- Ensure all disbursements are duly authorized and supported by proper documentation.
- Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
- Track actual costs against the approved project budget and flag variances promptly.
- Identify cost overruns and work with project managers to implement corrective actions.
- Monitor subcontractor billings and ensure alignment with contract terms.
- Progress & Schedule Financial Tracking
- Coordinate with the project team to align financial data with physical progress milestones.
- Prepare progress billing schedules and validate claims for client invoicing.
- Track earned value and report financial progress relative to project schedule.
- Asset, Machinery & Equipment Management
- Maintain a comprehensive register of all project assets, machinery, and equipment on site.
- Monitor depreciation, utilization, and maintenance costs for all project machinery.
- Coordinate with site operations for physical asset counts and reconciliation.
- Track equipment lease / rental costs and ensure proper cost allocation.
- Materials & Supplies Accounting
- Control and record all inbound and outbound materials and supplies at the project site.
- Reconcile material consumption against project plans and report any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse team on inventory accuracy.
- Monitor wastage, spoilage, and material write-offs.
- Cash Flow Reporting
- Prepare and submit weekly / monthly project cash flow statements to the General Accountant and CFO.
- Provide a clear summary of cash inflows, outflows, and project fund balances.
- Assist in forecasting upcoming project cash requirements.
- Ensure all financial reports are accurate, well-supported, and submitted on schedule.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all project financial transactions comply with company policies and applicable BIR tax regulations.
- Maintain organized and complete financial files and documentation for audit purposes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required project-level financial data.
QUALIFICATION:
Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience in project cost accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Exposure to procurement, inventory, and asset management in a project setting is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, data validation).
- Familiar with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems) is an advantage
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently on-site with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills — able to interface with site operations and head office finance.
- Integrity, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced construction site environment.
