Area operations manager

Job Description

• Conducts Monthly Operations Review, regular calls / review with the Team
• Oversees, monitors, manages, and controls overall financial concerns
• Monitors Receivables and Account Payables of the Area.
• Manages and coordinates monthly financial report, budgeting and forecast processes
• Oversees, monitors, manages, and controls overall administrative concerns
• Conducts semi-annual performance evaluation of supervisors and recommends necessary action for their development/advancement.
• Makes regular rounds to Area of Jurisdiction
• Strict Monitoring of company policies at all times and give disciplinary action on erring subordinates.
• Ensures continuous and efficient forklift and other related services to our clients in relation to the contract
• Coordinates constantly with the Head Office/BU's and other Departments.
• Initiates the company's policy for the control of injury, damage and fire.
• Administers the policy himself or appoint a senior member of staff to do so.
• Knows the requirements and the relevant parts of local government’s regulations and ensure they are observed by the company.
• Ensures that all supervisors are qualified and that they receive adequate and appropriate training.
• Ensures that minimum risk is highly considered in all jobs to be performed.
• Coordinates safety activities between Principal, subcontractors and any other individual contractors who may be working on the same site.
• Ensures proper system for investigation, reporting and estimating the cost of injury, property damage and fire loss. Initiate analysis to discover accident trends and promote action to prevent recurrence.
• Reprimands any supervisor for failing to discharge satisfactorily the responsibility allocated to him.
• Performs other tasks which may be assigned from time to time

• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• At least 2–5 years in a leadership role
• At least 5 years experience in Operations Management (Logistics / warehousing)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced in SAP and other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
