Partner Development & Contract Management Officer

Position Summary: Oversee the unit of Partner Development and Contract Management under SCD by identifying suitable vendors, negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices for products and services, and ensure that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Department in developing and implementing vendor and contract management policies and procedures.
  2. Assist the Department in determining accreditation requirements for vendors of supplies, materials, and equipment by evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them.
  3. Develops and sustains long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
  4. Monitors vendors to ensure compliance with company policies, attending company meetings, and informing new vendors of their responsibilities.
  5. Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, or services, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
  6. Ensure maintenance of complete records on possible and accredited vendors of materials used by the Company including items available, costs, price breaks and the vendor contact for appropriate information and quoting.
  7. Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
  8. Ensure that suppliers comply with the parameters of the Supply and/or Service Agreement, and execute delivery in accordance with the agreement.
  9. Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers; should also be able to cancel vendor contracts should company vendors fail to perform adequately.
  10. Oversee the vendor database.
  11. Closely collaborate with the warehousing or logistics side of the SCD to ensure that there are no stock outs, no overstocking, minimized or no disruption in supply or services
  12. Attend company and vendor/supplier meetings.

Position requirements:

Education: Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, or Bachelor in Business Management

Experience: At least eight (8) years proven working experience of the same capacity or background

Position specifications:

  1. Should be detail-oriented and adept at negotiating vendor contracts, able to multitask effectively as well as demonstrate exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  2. Must demonstrate exceptional skills on critical thinking, time management, active listening, effective verbal and written communication, leadership, and, human and financial resources management.
  3. Procurement skills.
