HSSE Lead/Manager
Guides Unit/Group Heads, colleagues, and customers through function/unit-specific programs by leveraging specialized depth and breadth of expertise. Takes a broad perspective to provide nuanced insights & solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities- Coordinates and monitors the HSE of various contractors/consultants.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of company OSH policies and programs.
- Ensure compliance with government health and safety regulations.
- Facilitate OSH training for employees and management
- Ensure compliance with government health and safety regulations
- Ensures the development/construction works are following environmental regulations and standards related to pollution and waste management.
- Monitor activities pertaining to the installation or construction of pollution source and control facilities with the end in view of ensuring their compliance with the air, noise, and water quality standards.
- Report within a reasonable time to the Company and Authority the breakdown of any pollution control facility, and the estimated and actual date of completion/repair and operation.
- Development of protocols on various safety-related topics (safe work practices, appropriate PPEs, PTW system, LOTO system, working at heights, etc.)
- Ensure availability of PPEs, safety tools, and equipment.
- Conduct regular safety walkthroughs, safety patrols, and inspections.
- Conduct periodic risk assessment and audits.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments and enforce the necessary preventive measures.
- Maintain liaison with the city/provincial/municipal or local pollution control officers.
- Attend the meetings for Pollution Control Officers which may from time to time be called by the Company and Authority.
- Recommend to the management the installation and operation of additional equipment for the pollution abatement facilities.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
Preferably holds an OSH-related license
Technical Knowledge, Special Training, and Work Experience: At least 8 years of experience in HSSE management/consultancy in utility-scale projects
International experience is preferredEquipped with OSH training is highly preferred
Excellent interpersonal communication and project management background
Strong QA/QC and HSSE awareness and leadership
