Junior Accountant

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA candidate preferred)
• Basic knowledge of auditing and accounting principles and standards
• Internship or prior experience in an accounting or auditing firm is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Progress toward CPA licensure is strongly encouraged

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial recording and documentation
• Disbursement and payables management
• Perform bank reconcillations to match cash balances with bank statements
• Assist in analyzing variances and preparing schedules for monthly closing
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
• Support compliance with tax regulations (e.g., VAT, withholding tax on payments)
• Record disbursement transactions in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
