About the role
ERL Technology Solutions Inc. is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is a full-time position offering hands-on technical support to our clients and internal stakeholders. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the frontline of our technical support operations, providing timely and effective solutions to IT-related issues whilst ensuring a high standard of customer service.This role is crucial to maintaining business continuity and ensuring that all technical problems are resolved efficiently and professionally. You will work on-site in our Mandaue City, Cebu office.
Key responsibilities- Respond promptly to IT support requests and service desk tickets, prioritising issues based on severity and impact
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network-related problems for end-users
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support via telephone, email, remote access and in-person assistance
- Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software applications and peripherals
- Perform user account management, including creating and resetting passwords, managing access rights and email configuration
- Maintain and update IT documentation, including asset inventories, support logs and technical procedures
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting and assist with connectivity problems
- Provide user training and guidance on IT systems, applications and best practices
- Monitor and manage IT assets, ensuring all systems are secure and compliant with company policies
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; relevant technical certification (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Associate or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Proven experience of 2–4 years in IT support, help desk or technical support roles within the Information Technology sector
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office suite and common software applications
- Practical experience with hardware troubleshooting, including desktop computers, laptops, printers and peripherals
- Familiarity with network concepts, Active Directory and remote support tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize workload effectively
- Patience, professionalism and a customer-service-oriented approach
- Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills
