About the role

ERL Technology Solutions Inc. is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is a full-time position offering hands-on technical support to our clients and internal stakeholders. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the frontline of our technical support operations, providing timely and effective solutions to IT-related issues whilst ensuring a high standard of customer service.

This role is crucial to maintaining business continuity and ensuring that all technical problems are resolved efficiently and professionally. You will work on-site in our Mandaue City, Cebu office.

Key responsibilities
  1. Respond promptly to IT support requests and service desk tickets, prioritising issues based on severity and impact
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network-related problems for end-users
  3. Provide first-line and second-line technical support via telephone, email, remote access and in-person assistance
  4. Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software applications and peripherals
  5. Perform user account management, including creating and resetting passwords, managing access rights and email configuration
  6. Maintain and update IT documentation, including asset inventories, support logs and technical procedures
  7. Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary
  8. Conduct basic network troubleshooting and assist with connectivity problems
  9. Provide user training and guidance on IT systems, applications and best practices
  10. Monitor and manage IT assets, ensuring all systems are secure and compliant with company policies
What we're looking for
  1. Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; relevant technical certification (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Associate or equivalent) is highly desirable
  2. Proven experience of 2–4 years in IT support, help desk or technical support roles within the Information Technology sector
  3. Strong technical knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office suite and common software applications
  4. Practical experience with hardware troubleshooting, including desktop computers, laptops, printers and peripherals
  5. Familiarity with network concepts, Active Directory and remote support tools
  6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  8. Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize workload effectively
  9. Patience, professionalism and a customer-service-oriented approach
  10. Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills
