About the role
We are seeking a Restaurant General Manager to join our team in Taft Avenue Metro Manila. This is a full-time position with significant strategic importance to our operations. As Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and success of our restaurant facility, overseeing all aspects of daily operations, staff performance, financial management, and guest satisfaction.You will be the driving force behind maintaining our restaurant's reputation and profitability whilst ensuring exceptional service delivery and a positive working environment for your team.
Key responsibilities- Managing all aspects of restaurant operations including kitchen, front-of-house, and back-of-house functions to ensure seamless daily service
- Supervising, recruiting, training, and developing restaurant staff whilst maintaining high levels of team morale and performance
- Implementing and maintaining food safety standards, health codes, and hygiene protocols in compliance with local regulations
- Managing restaurant finances, budgets, and cost controls whilst maximising profitability and revenue generation
- Ensuring exceptional customer service standards and handling guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
- Creating and implementing marketing initiatives and promotional strategies to increase customer traffic and brand awareness
- Conducting regular staff meetings, performance appraisals, and providing ongoing coaching and development
- Maintaining restaurant facilities, equipment, and cleanliness to the highest standards
- Analysing sales data, customer feedback, and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- 5+ years' experience in restaurant management or similar hospitality management roles within a multi-unit or high-volume establishment
- Proven track record of successfully managing P&L statements, budgets, and driving profitability
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop diverse teams
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene regulations, and hospitality industry best practices
- Outstanding customer service orientation with a proven ability to maintain high guest satisfaction levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, customers, and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in restaurant management systems, point-of-sale (POS) software, and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of local Filipino cuisine, dining culture, and market trends is desirable
- Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications in food safety or restaurant management would be advantageous
