Hiring: Health, Safety, & Security Manager

We are looking for more than a safety administrator; we need a technical HS&S leader who speaks the language of the plant floor. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering operations and safety compliance. As a licensed engineer, you will apply technical logic to our HS&S strategy, ensuring our safety improvement plans are as robust as our machinery.

• Technical Safety Leadership: Direct the implementation of HS&S systems, ensuring all workflows align with high-level engineering standards and legal frameworks.
• Engineering-Led Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into high-risk incidents using structured methodologies. You must possess the technical acumen to dissect machinery failures and process gaps to engineer permanent solutions.
• Operational Fluency: Serve as the technical bridge between management and the floor. You will translate complex safety protocols into the practical, mechanical language used by our operators and contractors.
• Risk & Resilience Oversight: Conduct technical audits and comprehensive risk assessments. You will manage the site’s security infrastructure, emergency response systems, and the HS&S expenditure budget.
• Systems & Data Integrity: Manage safety reporting systems to ensure all data and incident alerts are technically precise, providing the leadership team with actionable insights.

• Education: Graduate of an Engineering course. A Registered/Licensed Engineer status is highly preferred, as you must understand the mechanical and technical nuances of our site operations.
• Certifications: Must be a Certified Safety Officer 4 (SO4) or hold NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
• Experience: At least 5 years in a safety management role within a large-scale industrial setting or 10 years in a senior operational/technical role within a high-hazard, safety-intensive environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of risk management, behavioral safety, hazard recognition, and change management. You must be comfortable navigating the technical complexities of an active engineering environment.
• Licensure: Valid Driver’s License is required.
