Job Description:
The Site Engineer will be responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision, and quality assurance of all engineering, construction and finishing activities for a 8-storey commercial building project. The engineer shall ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans, technical specifications, budget, schedule, and highest standards of quality
Qualifications:
- Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC Registered)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in building construction (preferably mid- to high-rise projects)
- Strong background in construction quality control and technical supervision
- Familiar with local construction codes, standards, and best practices
- Proficient in project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality work
- Starting Salary P30,000-P35,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination
- Review and analyze project plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Assist in preparing the construction schedule and manpower loading plan.
- Ensure availability and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Site Supervision and Quality Assurance
- Supervise and monitor day-to-day site activities, ensuring all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
- Ensure quality of work is achieved at all stages of construction, including excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, waterproofing, finishes, and MEP installations.
- Check alignment, levels, and tolerances during structural and architectural installations.
- Implement quality control procedures and ensure proper documentation (inspection reports, checklists, and test results).
- Coordinate and attend inspections with consultants, clients, and local authorities.
- Technical Support and Problem-Solving
- Provide technical guidance to foremen, subcontractors, and site workers.
- Resolve construction issues, design discrepancies, and site conflicts proactively.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built plans.
- Ensure proper installation and integration of structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Prepare daily site logs, weekly accomplishment reports, and progress photos.
- Track actual work progress against schedule and highlight delays or risks.
- Monitor resource utilization and productivity (manpower, equipment, materials).
- Report issues that may impact quality, cost, or timelines.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, DOLE and building code regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox meetings with the safety officer.
- Report unsafe practices and implement corrective actions.
- Cost and Materials Control
- Prepare quantity take-offs and monitor material consumption.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse for material requests and deliveries.
- Verify subcontractor accomplishments and assist in progress billing and variation orders.
