About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused IT Service Desk professional to join on a full-time basis, based in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is an urgent opportunity with a start date available immediately. As an IT Service Desk specialist, you will serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests, providing technical assistance to internal and external users.

This role is crucial to maintaining our operational efficiency and ensuring that all technology-related issues are resolved promptly and professionally. You will be instrumental in delivering exceptional user experiences whilst managing a diverse range of technical queries and incidents.

Key responsibilities
  1. Respond to incoming IT support requests via phone, email, ticketing systems and other communication channels with professionalism and urgency
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network-related issues for end users
  3. Provide technical guidance and user support to resolve common IT problems, including password resets, software installation and printer configuration
  4. Document all support requests, issues and resolutions accurately in the service management system to maintain comprehensive records
  5. Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate technical teams or specialists when necessary
  6. Perform basic preventative maintenance and updates on user devices and systems
  7. Provide remote and on-site technical support as required
  8. Maintain a professional demeanour whilst managing high-volume support requests and demanding situations
  9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support processes and procedures
  10. Keep abreast of new technologies, tools and best practices within the IT support field
What we're looking for
  1. Proven experience working in an IT Service Desk, ideally 1-2 years in a similar role
  2. Strong technical knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and macOS
  3. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and common network protocols
  4. Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management tools
  5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and patiently
  6. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a logical approach to troubleshooting
  7. Ability to multitask effectively and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment
  8. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  9. Customer service orientation with a genuine commitment to providing quality support
  10. Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Associate, or equivalent qualifications are preferred
  11. Familiarity with remote support tools and VPN technologies is advantageous
