Medical Billing and Finance Specialist

Job Summary
The Medical Billing and Finance Specialist is responsible for managing patient billing, insurance claims, and financial reporting. This role ensures accurate invoicing, timely collections, and compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and submit patient invoices and insurance claims accurately and promptly.
- Verify insurance coverage and resolve claim issues with providers.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts regularly.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing and healthcare finance.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing codes and insurance processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations.
