Accounting Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Officer to manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for payroll processing, tax compliance, expense monitoring, accounts receivable management, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

The Accounting Officer will work closely with management to support financial reporting and maintain compliance with government regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration
  • Process employee payroll accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions.
  • Prepare payroll summaries and reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory contributions.
Tax Compliance and BIR Reporting
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR tax returns.
  • Process withholding taxes, VAT, expanded withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Coordinate with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regarding tax compliance and documentation.
  • Maintain organized tax records and ensure timely submission of all tax requirements.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, statements of accounts, and official receipts.
  • Follow up on overdue payments and coordinate collection efforts.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances and prepare aging reports.
Expense Monitoring and Reporting
  • Review and verify employee expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all expenditures.
  • Prepare periodic expense analysis reports for management.
General Accounting Functions
  • Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Support external auditors during audits and financial reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR regulations.
  • Experience in payroll processing and accounts receivable management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with payroll and accounting software.
  • Knowledge of SEC, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG compliance requirements.
  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, or trading industries is an advantage.
