Accounting Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

An Accounting Officer in retail supports the finance department by managing daily financial transactions, including sales input, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory records.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sales & Cash Management

• Reconcile daily cash, credit card transactions, and bank statements; manage petty cash records

1. Accounts Payable/Receivable

• Process vendor invoices, monitor payments, and issue invoices to clients.

1. Data Entry & Reporting

• Maintain accurate financial records, assist with inventory checks, and prepare daily/monthly financialreports.

1. Inventory Support

• Assisting with stock costing, inventory valuation, and analyzing margins

1. General Bookkeeping

• Maintaining accurate, up-to-date ledgers, journals, and financial files

1. Month-End Support

• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes and preparing financial reports

1. Audit Support

• Assist internal and external auditors
• Prepare required schedules and supporting documents

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 2–3 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
• Experience in preparing financial reports
• Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
