Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher to join our School. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, inquiry-based music instruction aligned with the IB philosophy and support students’ creativity, performance skills, and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities- Teach music classes using IB-aligned, inquiry-based approaches (PYP/MYP/DP as applicable).
- Plan engaging lessons that develop performance, composition, and listening skills.
- Use formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria.
- Contribute to collaborative planning and curriculum development.
- Support school concerts, performances, and arts events.
- Promote the IB Learner Profile and an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (Master’s an advantage).
- Teaching certification and experience in music instruction.
- IB experience preferred; willingness to complete IB training required.
- Strong musical skills (instrumental, vocal, theory, or technology).
- Effective communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities specific to teaching and learning:
- To ensure that the curriculum provided in the classroom is approached in such a way that meets the requirements of the IB MYP.
- To display a wide variety of teaching strategies using latest research to ensure that the learning environment is inclusive and meets the needs of all students in the class.
- To provide a broad education through a balanced curriculum covering all Key Learning Areas and skills with high levels of competence in all strands of the Beacon School’s Curriculum.
- To encourage the highest standards of achievement, through programmes which enable students to realize their full potential as individuals, and to develop the values needed to become good citizens.
- To achieve excellence through the establishment of clear learning outcomes, monitoring student performance against those outcomes, and providing programmes that meet individual needs.
- To develop Personalized Learning Plans (PLP).
- To provide equality of educational opportunity, by identifying and removing barriers to learning and achievement.
- To regularly assess student achievement, maintain individual records and report on student progress.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Education related courses
- Preferably Licensed Professional Teachers
- With 3 or more years of teaching experience in an International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP and or MYP Program
- Master’s degree holder a plus
- With strong background in subjects such as Humanities/ Social Science, Music, Math, Science, English etc.
We are in need of Educational Assistant (EA) Teacher:
Educational Assistant teachers should be involved in actual teaching of either small groups or the whole class. Being part of the grade level team, the Educational Assistant is expected to actively participate in planning and evaluating the classroom / grade level programme.They are expected to attend meetings. As active members of the team, they are guided by the expectations of other teacher roles.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Education related courses
- Preferably Licensed Professional Teachers
- With 1 to 3 years of teaching experience in an International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP and or MYP Program
- Master’s degree holder a plus

JOB SUMMARY:
It is the role of a Teacher Librarian to manage the day-to-day operations of the library and all aspects of the planning, preparation, evaluation, and delivery of services to students and faculty. Plan, teach, and evaluate collaboratively with teachers to ensure the effective integration of information resources and technologies into student learning.The Teacher Librarian is also responsible for teaching information literacy skills and literary appreciation skills directly to student classes. The Teacher Librarian has a duty to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students of the school.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES- Must be a College graduate of Library and Information Science or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS), Library Management or equivalent
- Must be a Licensed Librarian and Currently Registered with the PRC
- Has Leadership skills and has at least 5 years of work experience in a supervisory capacity preferably in a school setting
- Has strong technology Skills
- Has Budget Management Skills
- Experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Year Program and Middle Years program an advantage.
