Job Summary
The Dialysis Staff Nurse is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. The role ensures adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements set by DOH and PhilHealth.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis nursing care
- Prepare and operate dialysis machines and equipment
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and condition during treatment
- Administer medications as ordered by the Nephrologist
- Ensure strict compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes
- Assist in emergency situations and adverse events during dialysis
- Coordinate with the dialysis team, nephrologists, and support staff
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of dialysis supplies and equipment
- Provide patient education on dialysis care and treatment compliance
- Registered Nurse (RN), PRC Licensed
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required
- With or without dialysis experience (training may be provided)
- Dialysis training certificate is an advantage
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays
- Physically and emotionally fit to handle dialysis procedures
- Strong clinical and patient-care skills
- Attention to detail and adherence to protocols
- Good communication and teamwork
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
