Intermediate Bookkeeper (Morning Shift)

About the Role:
Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a proactive Intermediate Bookkeeper based in the Philippines who enjoys working in a team and takes pride in delivering an exceptional client experience.
You’ll manage a broad range of bookkeeping responsibilities in a fast-growing business, working closely with the team at Liston Newton Advisory Bookkeeping.
You’ll look after a portfolio of clients, including the employer’s group of 6+ entities, ensuring work is accurate, on time, and aligned with best practice.
This role suits someone who thinks ahead, learns quickly, and maintains strong attention to detail. You’ll be comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, able to re-prioritise confidently throughout the day. Strong written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate in a small, supportive team.
Working closely with Maria (Head of Bookkeeping), you’ll deliver bookkeeping services including:
- Bank reconciliations
- End-to-end payroll and super
- Monthly and quarterly BAS preparation
- Monthly reporting (P&L, balance sheet, etc.)
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Payroll tax preparation
- Journal entries
- Asset register maintenance
You’ll also support advisory work such as:
- Payroll audits
- Xero conversions and set-ups

About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Australian bookkeeping
- Sound knowledge of payroll awards
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing BAS, P&L, cash flow, balance sheet reports, and payroll
- Excellent knowledge of Xero and MYOB
- Experience with Asana, Deputy, Hubdoc, and other add-ons (desirable)
- Ability to learn new software and processes quickly
- Exceptional attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and work ethic; comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Highly organised, with strong planning and prioritisation skills
