COMPANY OVERVIEW

The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising on-site activities, ensuring that construction works comply with approved plans, specifications, schedules, and safety standards. The role involves coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, workers, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Supervision & Coordination
  • Monitor day-to-day project activities to ensure alignment with approved plans and timelines.
  • Coordinate with foremen, subcontractors, and laborers regarding work assignments.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and proper implementation of construction methods.
  • Check progress and prepare daily site reports.
Project Planning & Documentation
  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Assist in preparing schedules, work plans, and activity progress monitoring.
  • Maintain and update project logs, reports, and documentation.
Materials & Equipment Management
  • Prepare and submit material and equipment requests ahead of time.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse for material releases following company policy.
  • Ensure proper handling, allocation, and inventory of materials on-site.
  • Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
Quality Control & Compliance
  • Inspect ongoing works to ensure compliance with design, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct checks before concrete pouring, installation, fabrication, or other critical works.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, building codes, and safety regulations.
Safety & Risk Management
  • Monitor site safety practices and coordinate with the Safety Officer.
  • Ensure workers follow PPE and safety protocols.
  • Report unsafe acts, hazards, and incidents immediately.
Coordination & Communication
  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and engineers on progress, issues, and requirements.
  • Attend coordination meetings when required.
  • Provide updates to clients or consultants as assigned.
Problem-Solving & Technical Support
  • Address technical concerns and site issues promptly.
  • Recommend solutions for site challenges and delays.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  2. Preferably with experience in vertical or horizontal construction.
  3. Licensed Civil Engineer (advantage but not required).
  4. Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  5. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and blueprints.
  6. Good communication and leadership skills.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  8. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), AutoCAD (optional).
