Electrical foreman

Job Description

• Supervise electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair works
• Read and interpret electrical plans, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings
• Lead and guide electricians and electrical technicians on-site
• Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable electrical codes and safety regulations
• Conduct inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other trades for smooth workflow
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of electrical works
• Prepare work schedules, material estimates, and manpower allocation
• Maintain proper use and condition of tools, equipment, and electrical instruments
• Ensure implementation of workplace safety standards and risk prevention measures
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior electricians

1. At least 5–10 years of experience in electrical works
2. Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or senior role
3. Experience in construction, industrial plant, shipbuilding, or manufacturing is an advantage
4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control systems
5. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
6. Strong leadership and team supervision skills
7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
8. Knowledge of electrical safety standards and local electrical code
9. Physically fit and able to work in industrial environments
