The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, recording daily financial transactions, monitoring accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The role ensures that the company's financial data is organized, accurate, and compliant with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping
  • Record and maintain daily financial transactions.
  • Update and manage accounting records and ledgers.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Process supplier invoices and payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Prepare billing statements and invoices.
  • Reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
Bank Reconciliation
  • Reconcile bank statements with company records.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.
  • Monitor cash flow and account balances.
Financial Reporting
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Generate accounting reports as requested by management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Compliance and Documentation
  • Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with audits and financial reviews.
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
Administrative Support
  • Assist the Accounting Department with various financial and administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial matters.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, or in a similar accounting role is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of Philippine taxation and government compliance requirements.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
