Accounting Assistant – US Clients (Work From Home)

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support fast-growing US-based businesses. This fully remote role is ideal for accounting professionals looking to grow their career with hands-on exposure to US GAAP, full-cycle accounting, and financial reporting for real US clients.
You will work closely with US stakeholders and assist in reconciliations, month-end close, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready financial records.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping under US GAAP
- Process AP/AR transactions, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Help prepare financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
- Maintain accurate financial records, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
- Perform reconciliations and flag discrepancies for review
- Coordinate with US clients, CPAs, and internal teams
- Support process improvement initiatives as the team grows
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (US clients preferred)
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Exposure to reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience with NetSuite, Xero, or other ERP systems
- Experience supporting US-based SMBs
- Exposure to multi-entity, SaaS, e-commerce, or service industry accounting
- Fully remote / work-from-home setup
