This role involves working under close supervision and following established procedures and protocols to diagnose faults, perform routine maintenance, and assist in the configuration of equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation and setup of electronic and communications systems such as radios, intercoms, surveillance systems, and telemetry equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on malfunctioning components under supervision.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on electronic systems and ensure equipment meets technical standards.
• Assist with testing and calibration of devices and equipment using standard testing tools and instruments.
• Support senior technicians in documenting service reports, inventorying parts, and tracking maintenance records.
• Help maintain compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide technical support to internal departments or external clients as directed.
• Stay updated with new equipment and technologies through training and documentation.
• Follow health and safety protocols and use appropriate PPE when working on installations or repairs.

• Completion of a Technical/Vocational course or associate degree in Electronics, Electronics and Communications Technology, or a related field.
• NC II in Electronics Products Assembly and Servicing (TESDA or equivalent) (preferred but not required)
• Certification in Basic Electronics or Radio Communication (if applicable)

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of electronic components, circuitry, and telecommunications systems.
• Familiarity with tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for report writing and using diagnostic software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
• Capable of lifting and moving equipment.
• Manual dexterity for handling small tools and components.
• Willingness to learn and work under supervision.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Flexibility to work on-site, in the field, or during off-hours when necessary.
