Test Engineer
Working in a collaborative lab-based environment, you will test fully integrated systems that reflect real-world conditions, helping ensure Emerson delivers trusted solutions to customers worldwide.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Collaborate with cross-functional team members to test features within the Ovation platform and related applications.
Execute smoke, first-pass, regression, functional, system, compatibility, and performance testing, clearly documenting and communicating results.
Design, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios across multiple software and hardware configurations.
Develop and enhance automated test scripts and manage test data workflows, with opportunities to use AI-assisted testing tools.
Identify, log, and track defects, working closely with project leads to reproducing, analyzing, and supporting resolution of issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and practices to enhance overall product quality.
Support knowledge sharing and ongoing skill development within the engineering and testing community.
For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering or any related field.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in product or system testing within complex software and hardware environments, such as distributed or industrial control systems.
Working knowledge of testing methodologies, including functional, system, compatibility, and performance testing.
Experience installing and configuring Windows operating systems, drivers, and patches.
Ability to identify opportunities for improving test coverage, efficiency, and quality.
Exposure to field instruments, controllers, human-machine interfaces, and industrial communication technologies.
