Our client is seeking a Crew Manning Operations Manager who will support the President of the company in managing the daily operations of the crew manning office in the Philippines. This role ensures operational efficiency in crew recruitment, processing, deployment, and compliance with maritime and labor regulations.
The Manager serves as the frontline operations lead, ensuring compliance with DMW, MARINA, and DOLE regulations, and acts as Officer-in-Charge in the absence of the President. The position also supports business development initiatives by promoting the company's services to ship owners and industry partners.

This is a critical leadership role focused on maintaining seamless crewing operations, regulatory compliance, and high standards of service delivery. This position is based in Roxas Blvd., Malate, Manila, Philippines, and offer a hybrid work setup.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations Management- Oversee daily crew manning operations, ensuring timely recruitment, processing, documentation, and deployment of seafarers.
- Coordinate and supervise departments responsible for:
- Crew sourcing and selection
- Document processing
- Medical clearances and training
- Visa processing, travel arrangements, and pre-departure requirements
- Monitor operational workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Assist in budget planning, expense monitoring, and financial reporting to support cost-effective operations.
- Ensure company operations comply with maritime and labor regulations, including:
- DMW requirements
- MARINA standards
- MLC 2006 and STCW conventions
- Maintain compliance calendars, audit schedules, and internal documentation controls.
- Support licensing, contract management, audits, reports, and certification compliance.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders as needed.
- Monitor crew welfare programs, insurance coverage, and incident reporting processes.
- Assist in managing repatriation cases, disputes, and claims in coordination with the legal team.
- Ensure employment contracts, pre-departure briefings, and crew documentation are accurate and compliant.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior managers and operational staff.
- Lead and support training initiatives for office personnel and new hires.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support the President in business development and operational expansion initiatives.
- Promote company services to ship owners and industry partners.
- Maintain strong relationships with principals, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Management, or related field preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in crew manning, maritime operations, or shipping administration.
- Strong knowledge of DMW, MARINA, MLC 2006, and STCW regulations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple operational functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in reporting, documentation, and operational coordination.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and compliance standards
- Experience in handling audits and regulatory inspections
