Job Summary:
The Financial Reporting Services Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive financial reporting services, ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses. This role supports both internal and external stakeholders by delivering high-quality financial information and insights, contributing to financial transparency and informed decision-making.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide financial reporting services, including the preparation and meticulous review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in strict accordance with relevant accounting standards ( IFRS, GAAP).
- Ensure full compliance with all external reporting requirements, serving as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and other stakeholders to facilitate their information needs.
- Support the preparation of annual reports, investor presentations, and other public financial disclosures by compiling and verifying necessary financial data.
- Deliver detailed financial analysis services, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to identify key insights and support strategic and operational management decisions.
- Perform thorough reconciliation of general ledger accounts and proactively resolve discrepancies to maintain data accuracy and integrity across all financial records.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors, providing comprehensive support and necessary documentation during financial audits to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Continuously monitor changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, and provide proactive assessments of their potential impact on the company's financial reporting services and processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of robust internal controls over financial reporting, contributing to enhanced accuracy and effective risk mitigation.
- Participate actively in the continuous improvement of financial reporting systems and processes, aiming to optimize efficiency and enhance the quality of delivered services.
- Offer dedicated support for ad-hoc financial projects and analyses, providing timely and accurate financial data and insights as required by various departments and management.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Professional accounting qualification CPA not totally required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, auditing, or a similar role, ideally within a corporate environment or a professional services firm with a focus on financial reporting.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., XERO, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) used for reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling for complex data analysis.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving:
- Excellent analytical abilities with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and present findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with internal teams, senior management, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into understandable insights for non-financial audiences.

- Highly organized with exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
