Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline
  • High-level research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in project coordination and process management
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to effectively negotiate and liaise with high-level stakeholders
  • A team-oriented work ethic, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work autonomously with accuracy and efficiency
Responsibilities
  • Work with private and government sector clients on a wide range of projects
  • Conduct planning investigations and due diligence assessments
  • Perform planning research and contribute to scheme amendments (regional and local)
  • Assist with local structure planning and subdivision
  • Support development, and project coordination and implementation
  • Prepare and lodge planning applications and development proposals
  • Draft planning reports, briefs, submissions, and recommendations for council meetings
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, surveyors, and other stakeholders
  • Stay up to date with planning policy changes, court decisions, and industry trends
